Pattaya, is a modern city which set in Chon Buri province located on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand. Its meaning is south-west monsoon wind. Pattaya was simply a small fishing village until 1961s. It’s change to be the area for rest and reaction of the United States Air Force fallowing the Vietnam War base at U-Tapao. Have so many millions of foreign visitors come to Pattaya each year. It’s knows area among the visitors who’s came to Thailand as a place for fun cheap nightlife and prostitution. The rapid growth of tourism brought about many negative consequences, such as pollution and crime. However In recent years the city has pushed hard to clean up its image to be the rest place of the family. Pattaya is an especially popular vacation destination for families not only for the foreign visitor but it’s also including Thai families from neighbor province especially from Bangkok. Pattaya is the most handy vacation area to go for people in the central of Thailand. Aside from the handy place for vacation, Pattaya is also located in the heavily industrial Eastern Seaboard zone, along with Si Racha, Laem Chabang, and Chon Buri. However, it remains mostly a tourist city, with very light industry. Therefore it’s the high economic area of Thailand.
